Our Pastor

Bill and Joyce Campbell came to Cypress Creek Baptist in May of 2000. Pastor Bill is the third pastor of Cypress Creek. Pastor Wes and Darlene Starr started and founded the Church in August of 1991 and left in January of 1997 to start another new church work in California. Pastor Bob and Gay Woosley were called to be the second pastor in January of 1997 and left in April 2000 to become Baptist Bible Fellowship Missionaries to the Philippine Islands.

Pastor Bill is a 1964 graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from BBC, Bill has continued his education by graduating from the General Motors University of Management and Finance and he received his Master's of Physchology Degree from Louisiana Baptist University. He is currently pursuing his PHD from LBU in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Pastor Bill has had seventeen years of management and finance experience with two of the largest automobile dealerships in Houston. In full-time Ministry experience, Bill has served as an associate pastor in two churches, (five years at Central Baptist in Sherman, Texas, and two years at Oak Lake Baptist in Sugar Land), and over 20 years as Senior Pastor in two churches (over twelve years at South Shaver Baptist in Houston and since May of 2000 at Cypress Creek Baptist in Cypress).

He served as Chairman of the East-Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship several times, a Baptist Bible Fellowship Missions committeeman, the Secretary and Treasurer for the Texas State Baptist Bible Fellowship, Secretary and Treasurer of the East Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship, and the Editor of the East Texas Baptist Bible Fellowship's Newsletter.

Reverend and Mrs. Campbell have five grown children, three sons and two daughters, and best of all six grandchildren!

Pastor Bill says:

The theme of our church is, "a fellowship of friends." What we try to do as a church is to be loving, kind, and friendly to all people by not allowing divisive issues and personal agendas to be our emphasis. At Cypress Creek, all people are important and we welcome you as you are. We don't see the church as a museum for the display of perfect Christians, but as a hospital for the healing of the sin sick and the maintenance of the healthy. If we can be of service to you, it would be our privilege. You are invited to come and be a part of this wonderful "fellowship of friends."
